WHY DON'T YOU DO THAT ONE, DISNEY???? Can someone write a letter to Disney telling them about that story??? I would so love that! I wanna be the Moon Princess! (funny story involving the moon XD One night, when I was little (have no memory of it, so going by what my parents told me) we were coming home from something and I was in my Daddy's arms when I looked up at the sky. I saw the moon, reached up both of my hands and said "Mine." XD I HAVE CLAIMED THE MOON! Therefore I'M THE RIGHTFUL HEIR TO THE MOON THRONE!!! )

Here's the links. http://www.advicenators.com/qview.php?q=548417http://corporate.disney.go.com/news/contact_press.htmlI don't know if these are the right places, but it's just a thought. and LMAO is that a real address??? actually??? and omg that's so funny. We were in the presence of royalty and we didn't even know it XD but I definitely think they should do something with that story about the Moon Princess

Yeah, not a good choice to bring 2D back, though. It has a few movies; we're good there xD
I think we need a Japanese Disney princess. ...DISNEY'S GODZILLA ANYONE?? XD *shot again*
BUT, in all seriousness; maybe they could try doing some fairytales like Snow White or *cough*Rapunzel*cough* I'd suggest some, but I don't own a fairytale book or anything =( I would LOVE for them to do a Japanese Princess! (I would soooo change my character to her XD) Disney Godzilla actually sounds awesome XD I think there are still some fairy tales that they haven't done yet, like "Rumpelstiltskin," and um... Well, anyway, they should do "The Snow Queen" like they said they would -_- And I can't think of anything else XD They could do a Disney version of Romeo and Juliet? (Besides the sequel Lion King movie XD) Personally my vote is for a Spanish princess, but a Japanese princess could be amazing, too. Maybe focus on a Japanese legend involving Amaterasu or cranes/kitsune! a KITSUNE princess, by Disney, can you imagine? I do love the Rumplestilskin idea, too! and for the Spanish princess, maybe something like...Twelve Dancing Princesses (good lord, they'd have their work cut out for them), the Light Princess (such fun!) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Light_Princess or alternatively, an opposite tale: the Princess Who Wouldn't Laugh.

So, why Winnie the stinking, freaking, honey eating Pooh???????? Why is it that fans can come up with better ideas then the people actually doing the movies and stuff??? I think we have more creativity =D

| One story I liked was the story of Esther/Hadassah and the Jews. That would could be a great biblical story to tell. I don't think Disney makes a lot of biblical stories though (i think that's Dreamworks). But there was this one tale (and somethings are a little blurry cause I haven't heard about it in a while) that was about this King who got on the bad side of this witch, I think, so to protect the king's new born child, they hid the baby into the village (it was a girl), and replaced the baby with a village child (a boy). So the King (he didn't know anything about this, I think) raised the boy as a prince, and his rightful child, his daughter, grew up as a peasant. Well, some other stuff happens and whatnot, and eventually the girl get kidnapped, the prince saves her, and they realized the have been living with the wrong people for most of their lives and such. Sorry, that's all that I can remember from the story. But you know here’s a whole list of fairytales from all over the world, all one needs to do is pick one out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fairy_talesThey could also make a movie based on a mythical story, or nursery rhyme. And for a specific ethnic princess they could still take any story and just change the time, place, and background of the character like they did with the Princess and the Frog. Most fairytales are universal anyway.Though it would add more homage to the country and people they were representing to take a fairy tale, story, or legend from that country, like they did with Mulan for China. EDIT: Oh, wait. Looking through this list, I found the story again. It’s called the Grateful Prince, and Estonian tale. - Quote :
- A king got lost in a forest. An old man offered to show him the way out for the first thing that came out of his house. He did not want to give up a dog, and so tried to escape again; then he agreed. At home, the first thing was his newborn son, in his nurse's arms. To deceive the old man, he gave his son to a peasant and raised the peasant's daughter as a princess. A year later, the stranger came and took the girl, but the king did not dare claim his son, for fear it would be heard.
The prince grew up as a peasant, but while his foster parents, being rewarded, were content, the prince himself had learned of the girl and was grieved at the thought he would be king at her price. So he took a sack of peas and went into the same forest. The old man found him. He claimed to be carrying the peas for his aunt's funeral, to give to the watchers. The stranger offered to hire him, and the prince agreed. The stranger sang and spun like a top with pleasure, and never noticed the prince dropping peas along the way. The stranger led him into a cave where there was a silent countryside, filled with silent animals. A sound like a troop of horses was identified by the stranger as the boiling kettle, and that like a saw-mill, as his grandmother's snoring. He had the prince hide in a kennel, because his grandmother could not stand new faces. The prince did not like that, but he came back and brought him inside, to see a beautiful woman. The old man ate ravenously and told the woman to give him the scraps. He told the prince he could rest two days, and on the third he would put him to work, and forbade him to speak. The maid showed him a room; he guessed she was the girl exchanged for him. The next day he drew water and hewed wood for her; then he wandered the farmstead and saw the animals, including a black cow and a white-faced calf, and a white horse that had the stable alone. The third day, the man set the prince to scythe enough grass for the horse and clean its stall. The maid told him, in whispers, to make a strong plait of the rushes and a peg, and threaten to bind its mouth and peg it so it could not eat or scatter its food. He obeyed, and the horse stopped eating and did not foul its stall. Then the old man set him to milk the cow. The maid told him to heat a pair of tongs and threaten to use them if the cow did not give all the milk he wanted. He obeyed, and the old man was unable to get any more milk from the cow. Then the old man set him to bring in a hay rick. The maid told him to tie the horse to the rick and count. He did so, and when the horse asked why, he said he was counting packs of wolves in the forest. The horse pulled it all back, and quickly. Then the old man set him to bring a white-faced calf to the pasture, but the maid advised him to tie himself to the calf with a silk thread, and it could not get away from him. Then the old man said he had no more work, but the prince must come to his bed and offer him his hand when he woke. The maid told him that the man meant to eat him, but the prince must offer him a red-hot shovel instead. The prince obeyed, and the old man refused to shake it. Then the old man said he would marry the prince and the maid, and the maid said he had found her out. The prince cut off the calf's head at her direction and brought her a red ball from it. She brought a tiny ball of shining light and they fled. She told him that she had overheard that she was a king's daughter. In the morning, the old man at first thought they were not eager to marry, but then he searched for them and realized they had fled. He sent a stall of his goblins after them. The ball moved in the maid's hands, and she had it change her into a brook and the prince into a fish. The goblins went back and said there had been nothing but a brook with a fish. The old man went to the next stall and sent those goblins after them, telling them to drink the brook and catch the fish. The maid turned herself into a rose tree and the prince into a rose. The goblins went back and said there had been nothing but a rose tree with a rose. The old man went to the next stall and sent his mightiest goblins after them, to tear up the rose tree. The prince and the maid were resting in the woods, and the maid turned herself into a breeze and the prince into the midge. Then, when the goblins were gone, she said the old man would know them under any form; she rolled the ball and it led them to the door. She said they must each go to their own home. The prince said they must keep together and marry. At home, he found that time had passed, and his father the king had died, confessing about the maid and the prince. The prince mourned him but proclaimed what had happened, and all his people agreed that he should marry her and make her his queen. Boy, was I off XD Though I like the idea better of just an angry prince tricked from his birth right going off to kidnapped the princess himself, accidentally gets captured by the witch, and such and such happens, that leds to the “princess” having to save him. Maybe the princess and the boy meet before this secretly and were starting to fall in love, until the boy realize that he’s the actual heir to the kingdom. And in rage heads to the palace to fix this

Oh, I agree. I so completely agree. <3 A Spanish princess would have such beautiful coloring and lively songs, I think. The only Spanish characters Disney has are like...Tito. > >; from Oliver and Company. And he's Mexican, so he doesn't really count (no offense to Mexico, it's just not the classiness of Spain). Also, how about an Australian princess? XD

| There's also the story For Biddle's Sake by Gail Carson Levine (author of Ella Enchanted), I haven't read this book since the 5th grade, but I think it's about this less than lovely princess who is being guarded by this less than loving fairy. But unlike most stories, the fairy, Bombina is caring towards the girl. And that's all I can remember about the story, but I think the moral of it was that looks didn't matter. XD
But if they were to have a Latin Princess, than I'd personally would want them to have it in Latin America, sorry.
