What got you into vidding?

Well, I know I wasn't really straightforward with this super creative title, but what was it that got you girlies into editing?

I think for me, I stumbled upon WYWDS somehow, and watched a BUNCH of their MEPs. Then when I saw they had auditions, I got myself Vegas and decided in 6 or 7 months I'd audition. Along the way I joined DHS, DDS, blah blah blah. And last month I finally got accepted :'D*wipe tear*

So what's your story? Hopefully it isn't as corny as mine XD

I got into vidding back in 2004 when I saw these two Totally Spies videos on a forum. I don't think there was any YT back then. So, from there I got into the Xena Warrior Princess music videos. There were many sites for them, and so I got ahold of some clips and started to make my own on WMM 1. Then WMM 2. Once Youtube Came in 2005-2006, I created an account and watched some of the Disney videos on there. I made a few myself, not many (a lot of my old videos were lost when my computer crashed. I managed to save some Xena Videos though). And then in Feb. or March I got SV and started to make Disney videos again, this time as crossovers.

Well, there was a Toph Girl Can Rock video that was taken down and I couldn't find another one that wasn't a slide show. I was so upset, then I accidentally, stumbled upon WMM and was like "O.o I can make videos??? SWEETNESS!!!" Then I went and found a video converter, got some Toph clips and made my very first AMV I realized how much fun it was to make them, so I continued making them, having a blast each time! And that's how I got into making videos. I tried my hand at a Disney video (though I only had the movie Treasure Planet at the time) and no one ever rated it XD I think now that I have SV I might redo it, lol. But, it really wasn't until I got SV that I decided to make Disney videos, because I told myself I would wait until I had that to make them. I know, I'm weird. lol

Haha, I'd been on youtube for about two years before I even thought about making my own videos, watching Disney movies and stuff. Until I came across EsmereldaofNotreDame, actually. I devotedly watched all of her videos and was like "wow, she's so amazing" and finally last May she held a contest. And there I was, sitting there going "I should enter this! Or at least try and do this!" So I downloaded Vegas, and entered her contest under the friendship video. After submitting I had all these fears, like what if it sucked? What if I got horrible comments that said I should never create anything like this again, and I really started to doubt myself. However, her being the nice person she is, sent me a message back saying how adorable it was, and even though I look back now, and see how much it really did suck, I go, wow, that's how I got started. After having so much fun making it, and seeing how good it felt to get feedback, I just kept at it, and got better and better. So, really I should thank our fellow member, Esmerelda, cause she's the one who got me to start vidding. After entering her contest, I felt so good that I started to go and discover groups like DisneyHeroesStudios, which I entered and didn't get into, but kept on trying, and I entered finally for NMS, and voila, I was in a group. I'm glad I got the guts to enter her contest, or else I wouldn't be here today So that's my journey

yeah I think I saw this a couple months back, when I was hyped up on avatar, though I didn't know it was you who made that one, I could be completely wrong but that video and song ring a bell with me. Regardless of whether I've seen it in the past or not, its a good video, and that ones your first! Amazing girl. and lol, your welcome.

I joined Youtube in 2006, and was always watching Sailor Moon AMVs. I started making slideshows with WMM, then started downloading clips to use instead of still images.

Then came MediaConverter, so I found anime episodes on Youtube and converted them to use them. Mainly Princess Tutu, because that's my now favourite anime ^^

Then I found Disney crossovers about a year ago, and wanted to make my own. Made a couple in WMM, then decided to download Vegas.

I started vidding with WMM before I joined youtube !!!! Officially I joined youtube 2 years ago but because of this stupid copyright things it was deleted !!! Honestly I had only 35 subscribers at my first account and now after 6 month I created my 2nd account I have 375 subscribers for me its like WOW !!! What is it ???

Yeah really boring story I know

I stumbled on a HoND video about four years ago, while searching for consert clips from my then favourite band. I thought it was such a cool thing to do, and decided to start making my own, and I started a few months later. Although, for the first two years I only did like 2 full videos that I uploaded (I kept most to myself) and then I got into vidding Harry Potter, and later I went back to Disney, but I still didn't finish many videos. I used WMM up until november last year, when I started working a little bit with adobe, and then I started with Vegas in january or something. Boring story, I know. ^^

Wow, 2 years? When I vidded with WMM, I only did for like, 2 months tops XD I don't have much of an attention span....

Actually, long long long long before MimiMuffinz, I had an account on YT (the name will not be mentioned because I really don't want you guys finding it, but I can't bring myself to delete it XD) where I made slideshows with OneTrueMedia. But for some reason they got a lot of views, even though they were crap. Oh well....XD

Weeeeell, I had been watching random Disney videos for like...a year because I've been obsessed with Disney for only about a year and a half now. I knew these vids existed because one of my friends (who was, at the time, a more devoted Disney fan than me...now I beat her in obsession, BWAHAHA!) showed me a crossover of Aladdin and Ariel she liked. I laughed, but decided to see if anyone had made vids to songs I liked. I found a few, of course, but since my taste in music SUCKS and is VERY LIMITED, I didn't find much, especially by way of Rascal Flatts. I think I only found one to "What Hurts the Most" and then nothing. So I was upset. But I didn't know how to do anything, so, hey...I couldn't complain.

Anyway, I've always been a fanfiction writer (www.fanfiction.net/~dannyphantomsg1), but last fall, my roommate and I got obsessed with Animaniacs. And, really, it was WAY too hard to write fanfiction for it (though I attempted one that was...freakishly awful), so I needed another outlet for this obsession.

In comes the discovery of WMM.

Unfortunately, at this time, I had NO idea how to get clips, so I just made slideshows with pictures I got by taking screenshots from my DVD's (and my roommate used Photoshop to make posters for our dorm and bg's for our desktops since she, the lucky duck, has Photoshop).

Then I rediscovered Mickey Mouse and fell right back into Disney music videos where I started. But by this time, I was tired of screencaps and decided to find clips. But since I am like, the most uber scrupulous internet vidder evah (and oh so humble about that), I had to find a legit DVD ripper, and I could only use WMM because I won't download SV for free when it's supposed to cost money. But I don't have money to buy it. So....I slowly started vidding with clips (my first vid, Hercules to "Battlefield" by Jordin Sparks, was an experiment, but I posted it for kicks anyway).

But I've been vidding since long before I got a youtube account, then, so...I seem to have done the opposite of a lot of peeps. And I never wanted to be in MEP groups because I always felt they inhibited editors' creativity by forcing them to do other stuff than their own...but then I discovered I lack creativity beyond Backstreet Boys and Rascal Flatts, so I somehow joined 12. o.O

Hmm I started vidding about 1,5 month ago. I knew how I could work with WMM but I only used that to
support songs I played on the flute and did not actually edit the videos. Then I got in contact with IinesKisuh and her
videos are just soooo amazing! I asked her what she used and she gave me the link & tutorial to download SV. She also
learned me how to use cookie cutter <3 Then I start vidding and because of her sweet feedback I decided to keep on vidding
and I wanted to audition for NMST and I got in!! OMG and I have subbers xD Never had them before!
